When Eve sinned (in Adam’s presence and he didn’t stop her but joined in), they were at odds with their Supreme Leader – God.
Most of mankind has been struggling against God ever since. When man demanded earthly government, there soon began a struggle against God’s government (the Mosaic Law in the Old Testament and the Church in the New Testament). Mankind constantly rejected God’s (superior) moral absolutes and tried to justify various ungodly actions as legal and acceptable in spite of the consequences of such actions.
Throughout the history of the history of the church, there have been times when the government tried to control the church. Battles have been fought between church and government as to who was ultimately in control. When Christianity prevailed, life was better for everyone. Love for one another and respect for the law prevailed. The work ethic and respect for marriage and family provided stability for all. When the government tried to restrict or control or stop the church, bad things ensued. It is all history.
The United States was originally founded on the principle of freedom – of religion, of speech, of press and of the right to assemble to redress grievances (against the government). A careful reading of the Constitution of the United States will reveal restrictions on the government – what they can and cannot do, and freedom for the people – not restrictions on the people. The Constitution is to keep the government from overstepping its control of the people. Christianity prevailed upon the people to treat one another in lawful ways.
There has never been an official religion (a Christian denomination or other religion), but a general prevalence of Christianity and a tolerance for all other religions to exist among us peacefully. No religion has the right to violently force their way on other religions.
Over the years, Christians have gotten comfortable, complacent and careless. Anti-Christs (all who are against Christ – Muslim extremists, atheists, homosexual activists) have influenced our government to rebel against Christianity, establish a religion of anti-Christianity, and violate our First Amendment – freedom of religion. Atheism is a religion – according to the dictionary – a system of beliefs.
The government in siding with the atheists and removing God, prayer, Bibles and the Ten Commandments from our schools and government assemblies, etc. have brought much harm on our nation. (This is not “establishing” a religion because it does not prohibit other religious views. It merely presents the moral absolutes of Christianity to influence the people in law-abiding behavior and love and respect for one another.)
When Christianity was predominant, we had respect for law and order, the institution of marriage, family, sexual morality and more. Now we have police all over the place because of greater crime being committed in schools, public places, even in churches. Schools have to have police on campus. Teachers are seeking to be armed. Even churches are realizing that they are not “gun-free zones” in the eyes of evil doers. Crime runs rampant and the government is unable (or unwilling) to do anything to stop it.
There is a solution – It starts with Christians getting serious about studying and following the teachings of Jesus Christ. It continues with Christians putting Christian values, morals and teachings back into our schools, communities, etc. It requires the government to get back to recognizing the superiority of Christianity to all other religions and protecting our freedom or religion (which applies to all peaceful religious groups).
You can be a part of the solution. Get your friends, church, small group into a Bible study of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Start with yourself to check and see how well you know and are following Jesus Christ. Then encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same thing – engage in a complete Bible study of every event in Jesus’ life as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. You will see changes evolve and life improve in your circles. You will be a stronger influence in your communities for the things of Jesus as well.

The best way to truly “Make America Great Again” is to put Jesus back on the throne (as some of our government leaders are recognizing and doing) and be an influence to those around you of the value and benefits of Christianity to life on this earth and to eternal life in Heaven.
God Bless America in Jesus’ Name!
